The Recovery as a Service project will focus on the development of novel techniques and mechanisms to recover from intrusions in public clouds. These mechanisms take into account the constraints of public clouds like: the incapacity to modify the source code of the platform, since it is maintained by a third party and provided to users as a service; the heterogeneity of the different cloud service models, which makes it infeasible to adopt a single solution that fits all use cases; the existence of a third party that manages and maintains the cloud platform, restricting the control of the platform.
The RaaS project was submitted to the FCT 2020 Call for SR&TD Project Grants with an overall rating of 7.0. It will be resubmitted to the next call in 2021.
